The twelfth lunar month and I
Enligh version by Nguyễn Hữu Lý
Hi, the twelfth lunar month! On what day the Tet’ll come, then?
What do you wear, a blue robe or a pink one of embroidery?
A nebulous firmament is below the curvy cluster of clouds
May I help you to keep up your half-part? ...
The first lunar month and I stretch our shoulder and open the door
The heaven is rising up and you are also sky-high
The first lunar month gives me a peach bloom
I send you a sky nurtured by illusive dreams
That song provides pledges for me
Don’t forget to bring gold for chrysanthemums and gems for orchids
To carry on rainbows for an instantaneous dissolution of rain
And a bit of your role for the white tuberoses...
The swallow flies together with poems under the sunshine
It seems that there is a perfume herb between your lips
On what finger among ten existing fingers in your hand
Including the first kiss that is round about there...
The first lunar month and I call for each other to take seat in downtown
Please remember the tender lotus petal when you apply pink lipstick
The first lunar month waits for a little bit of your vernal generosity
Thanks to that smile, I await an undying spring
The first lunar month and I call for each other to light a cigarette
A first cigarette at the beginning of the year and of the day
Its smoke circle rounds in the left, close to the ears
There are peals of laughter on the dance in your dress flaps
The first lunar month and I, we brim over our glass with wine
A fondling vault of heaven, a Bolsa musical tune
And a whirl of love curl up through eight words of passing clouds
Upon your arrival, they are soaring many times above your hair...
